Hello 365Grateful...

I found myself at the end of December feeling completely depleted and feeling quite vulnerable and a little itchy scratchy about life and my year ahead.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do this coming year now that my #365faces project was finished and I have no classes or projects planned.  I was feeling all over the place.  When I'm feeling like this, I usually turn to my camera for creative play and it's in the freedom of play that I usually find my way.

About two years ago now I discovered a brilliant Ted Talk by Hailey Bartholomew about her incredible project called #365Grateful.  And I knew if I could get my hands on a Polaroid camera I would try embark on this visually beautiful project.  I can get my hands on a Polaroid Camera except the film is frightfully expensive.  Last year I tried to start the project with my Fuji Wide but I lost momentum with everything I had going on.   I have subsequently traded in my Fuji for this sweet retro girl and I guess I just feel ready for this.

I've discovered that I kind of like projects... they help me in the art of showing up and help me stay focused  I love the positivity of this project and I am hoping that finding visual beauty in life around me and keeping a daily log of it, will help remind me of the {love} in the small things.
