My experiences in life have led me to see things with a multi-dimensional depth that transcends simple empty observation.

Youth

Since I was a child I have loved to draw and create, excelling in pencil and embroidering my own designs. I am a self-taught artist.

Fascinations

I am fascinated by people and animals and love to depict more than just their visage in my art. It has been said that the eyes are the mirror of the soul. I find that to be true in my art as well, for I often find that the eyes become the heart and focal point of my facial portraiture.

Media that Conveys Meaning

My favorite medium is combining mirror, tile and glass. A number of years ago I started experimenting with mosaics. After my first project I was hooked. Over the years, I have created scores of mosaics on all kinds of objects.

Portraiture with a Purpose

A number of clients have commissioned me to create mosaic portraitures. They often come to me with photos, and hearts full of rich memories and stories that illustrate the special place that unique people and pets have had in their lives. Based on these stories and photos I create beautiful mosaic portraits and three-dimensional figurines. These beautiful objects d’ art with deeply meaningful personal significance rapidly become treasured intergenerational family heirlooms.
