How it all began...

My hubby bought me a little video camera a few years ago and it literally lay here for a year, I didn't have the courage to use it but I started taking little time-lapse video's of me painting teabags on my iPhone and started making little video clips of that.  It gave me the courage to start using my video camera and I spent almost another year teaching myself how to use it and how to edit my own video clips.  I've kind of fallen in love with it.

I'm hoping this will be a space for me to share pieces and creative things I'm doing that aren't for a class or for any particular reason other than just for the love of sharing.  Please feel free to pop in at any time to see occasional updates.

Making my first SoulBearer...

I actually didn't remember that I made a time-lapse of me making my first SoulBearer.  It was a delightful surprise to discover this clip in my folder.  I have absolutely no idea why I filmed myself doing this but I'm so glad I did.  It's just a little glimpse of the process.  It's my homework rendition of a lesson Misty taught us in MakeDoArt Workshop.  Although my figurine took on a life of it's own, it started me playing more sincerely with this concept.  I have learnt so much from this first one and each new figurine keeps pushing me to try new things and learn and understand this medium more.  In many ways... this play is so creatively and wonderfully child's play... that it keeps me coming back for more.

Painting from beginning to end...

I original put this piece together as a test run for a class I was involved in but didn't end up using it for that.  I hope you enjoy this piece coming alive.  I loved creating this piece.
