"I have a special friend that I’ve known for years. She has everything and really doesn’t need anything. But, I wanted to give more than just an ordinary birthday present at her special 50th birthday party celebration. So I gathered some precious photos of us together that I had taken over the years and contacted Jeanne Marie. She showed me some of her other projects and gave me some great ideas. My friend was amazed when I gave her the mosaic portrait. When our eyes met after it was “unveiled” at the party, it was really gratifying to feel her hearts connection with me and the depth of friendship we shared. "I went on a vacation to Banff after a really horrible divorce. I was burnt out and tired. I saw such beauty and lovely landscapes and mountains. I took several pictures.
