I am so thrilled that I managed to finish almost all of my unfinished clay pieces for my last show.

When I left Cape Town, I had a mountain of unfinished works in progress and I kept adding new ones to the pile. Some old, some new and some evolved pieces that I got to breath new life into. I was totally in love with this little collection and I must say, I had a lot of fun with them for this show. I finished another 10 pieces this round and most of them went out into the world…

Thank you so much and for loving them as much as I did.

I loved capturing them this way to see the scale of them and their sweet personalities. They are so soulful at times and I think that is what ultimately keeps me coming back to making more of these 3D versions of my art.

I am literally down to a handful of clay works left to complete but I will be deciding whether it’s time for File 13 or if I continue to breath new life into them. It is after all, a new season and I’m ready to move on and start a fresh.

As you know, my little Kat sculpture that Kitty and I collaborated with in a round about way, didn’t sell at my show and I have decided to keep her. I don’t think she was meant to go out into the world and I think I knew that too. She is so special to me but I don’t usually keep my own artworks so this is a rare thing for me to do. That being said, she has made herself right at home and has taken up her rightful place as if that’s where she has always belonged and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
